Day#174 – 20/12/2014

This is the end….of my adventure in Riga and of my blog. I hope you’ve enjoyed to read my articles. Today I woke up at 14h30 and I will continue to pack because I’m leaving tomorrow morning…

C’est la fin…de mon aventure à Riga et de mon blog donc. J’espère que vous avez aimé lire mes articles. Aujourd’hui je me suis réveillée 14h30 et je vais continuer de faire mes valises parce que je pars demain matin…

Day#173 – 19/12/2014

Christmas brunch at work, so so nice! And my manager gave to me as a present a tutu skirt from Leny Tomy Factory! Then work slowly. Go back home. Pack bags and pack away. Then let’s start our last Friday niiiiiiight (cf. the song for those who know it!)! First we had a dinner at home, then we went to Dad Café for a concert, then we went to the old town, we ate hot sushi, then we went to Erasmus party in a flat, then we went to Mc Donalds (with Oryn and Majka), then to Radio Bar but we didn’t like the music so we went after to Mad House, and finally to Kalku for dancing of course ! What an amazing last night in Riga !!! I went home at 6:00…

Brunch de Noël au travail, c’était super sympa! Et ma responsable de stage m’a donné comme cadeau une jupe en tulle de Leny Tomy Factory ! Puis travail tranquillement et doucement. Retour à la maison. Préparation des bagages et rangement. Puis a commencé the last Friday niiiiight (référence à une chanson pour ceux qui connaissent !) ! D’abord diner à la maison, puis direction Dad Cafe pour un concert, ensuite on est allées dans le vieux Riga, on a mangé des sushis chauds (si si ça existe), puis on est allées à une soirée Erasmus dans un appartement, ensuite au Mac Do (avec Oryn et Majka), puis au Radio Bar, mais comme on n’aimait pas la musique, on est allées au Mad House, et enfin au Kalku pour dancer bien sûr ! Une super dernière nuit à Riga !!! Je suis rentrée à la maison à 6h…

Day#172 – 18/12/2014

Work. Then I went to the manicure and after to the owner to receive back our deposit. Then lunch at home, and go back to work. Go back home and started to pack. I also made a chocolate cake.

Travail. Puis je suis allée chez la manucure, et après voir la propriétaire pour récupérer notre caution. Puis déjeuner à la maison et retour au travail. Retour à la maison. J’ai commencé à préparer mes bagages et j’ai fait un gâteau au chocolat.

Day#170 – 16/12/2014

Today was a busy day ! Work, then at 12:00 I went to the hairdresser, then I met Alina and we went to a café called “Mu” (in Terbatas iela) and I love this place !!!!! You can eat the soup of the day for 3€ and a great cake (I choose the brownie for 1,85€), and all the ingredients used are organic, and the decoration is so nice (Scandinavian style), one of my favorite place in Riga !! Why I discovered it only 5 days before I’m leaving ???!!! Then go back to work. And at the end of afternoon, I went to the kinder garden where Tomy, the son of Liene is, to see the Christmas show. Then went back home, and went out to meet Nathalie (for her birthday and because she’s leaving tomorrow…), and other friends in a restaurant “Istaba” (it’s also a shop) where you can eat for 13€, quite expensive for Latvia, but you have so many things to eat and very very tasty !!! Love also this place, OMG, there are so many lovely places in Riga….

Aujourd’hui c’était une journée bien remplie ! Travail, puis à 12h je suis allée chez le coiffeur, ensuite j’ai retrouvé Alina et on est allées déjeuner dans un café qui s’appelle « Mu » (Terbatas iela), et j’adore cette place !!!! On peut manger une soupe du jour pour 3€ et de super gâteaux (j’ai choisi un brownie pour 1,85€), et tous les ingrédients utilisés sont bios, et la décoration est super chouette (style scandinave), un de mes endroits préférés de Riga !! Pourquoi je le découvre seulement 5 jours avant que je parte ???!!! Ensuite retour au travail. Puis en fin d’après midi, je suis allée à l’école maternelle où est Tomy le fils de Liene, pour voir le spectable de Noël. Ensuite je suis rentrée à la maison, et ressortie pour rejoindre Nathalie (pour son anniversaire et parce qu’elle part demain…) et d’autres amies dans un restaurant « Istaba » (c’est aussi un magasin) où on peut manger pour 13€, un peu cher pour la Lettonie, mais il y’a beaucoup à manger (on partage les plats) et c’est délicieux !! J’aime beaucoup cet endroit aussi, mon dieu, il y’a tellement d’endroits vraiment sympas à Riga…

Day#159 – 14/12/2014

Woke up at 10h15, quick breakfast (as always in Eva’s house pancakes for Sunday breakfast), then Eva took me to the train station and I took the train to go back to Riga. Then at 14h Liene picked Majka and me up to go to her house, for a lunch-dinner. Before and after lunch we made ginger bread together, it was very nice ! And after Andis and Liene drove us to our flat, we arrived at home at 19:30. Then we went to the store to buy some food. What a busy week-end !

Réveil à 10h15, petit-déjeuner rapide (comme toujours chez Eva, c’est crêpes pour le petit-déjeuner du dimanche), puis Eva m’a déposée à la gare, j’ai pris le train pour rentrer à Riga. Ensuite à 14h, Liene est venue nous chercher Majka et moi en voiture pour aller chez elle, pour un déjeuner-diner. Après et avant le déjeuner on a fait des petits biscuits au pain d’épice tous ensemble, c’était très sympa. Puis Liene et Andis nous ont ramené chez nous, on est rentrées à la maison vers 19h30. Et enfin on est allées faire quelques courses au supermarché. Quel week-end bien rempli !

Day#158 – 13/12/2014

Woke up at 11 :00. Breakfast. At 16:30 I went to the bus station to take a bus to go to Ikskile in Eva’s house. She has prepared a very good dinner. Then at 20:30 we started to make a gingerbread house with Cindy and Richard, we had a lot of fun ! I slept in their house.

Réveil à 11h. Petit Déjeuner. A 16h30 je suis allée à la gare routière pour prendre le car pour aller à Ikskile chez Eva. Elle avait préparé un très bon dîner. Puis vers 20h30, on fait une maison en pain d’épices avec Cindy et Richard, on s’est bien amusés ! Je suis restée dormir chez eux.

Day#157 – 12/12/2014

Work. Lunch at home. Work. Back home. Then 3 friends of Majka came at home, we drunk hot wine, then at 22:00 we (Majka, Elizabeth and me) went to the old town to eat to Delisnack, a great trendy fast food. It was snowing but it didn’t stay a lot on the floor. Oh and we stopped to take a picture near the opera because tomorrow it will be the “European Film Awards” with many famous people coming to Riga !!

Travail. Déjeuner à la maison. Travail. Retour à la maison. Puis 3 copines de Majka sont venues à la maison, on a bu du vin chaud, et vers 22h, on (Majka, Elizabeth et moi) est allées manger dans le vieux Riga à Delisnack, un super fastfood branché (pas cher, mêmes prix qu’à Macdo). Il neigeait dehors mais ça restait pas vraiment sur le sol. Oh et on s’est arrêtées pour prendre une photo à côté de l’opéra car demain il va y avoir les « European Film Awards » avec plein d’acteurs célèbres qui vont venir ici à Riga !!

Day#156 – 11/12/2014

Work. Lunch at Vinjia Studio with Liene (one of my favorite place in Riga for Lunch, where you can have you know this daily menu for 6,4€). Work. Back home. And then Majka asked me if I wanted to go the Uzbekistan restaurant, so we went there for dinner. It was really tasty.

Travail. Déjeuner à Vinjia Studio avec Liene (un de mes endroits préférés de Riga pour le déjeuner, vous savez celui où on peut prendre le menu du jour pour 6,4€). Travail. Retour à la maison. Et Majka en rentrant m’a proposé d’aller au restaurant ouzbèque, donc nous y sommes allées pour diner. C’était très bon.

Day#155 – 10/12/2014

Work. Then we had a kind of small brunch at 11:00 because it was the birthday of one of the seamstresses. Lunch at home at 2:30. Work. Back home.

Travail. Puis vers 11h, on a pris un sorte de brunch (petit-déjeuner apéro) parce que c’était l’anniversaire d’une des couturiers. Déjeuner à la maison vers 14h30. De nouveau travail. Puis retour à la maison.

Day#153 – 08/12/2014

Work. Lunch at home. Work. Now I will have more work, because my new colleague has quit her job.

Travail. Déjeuner à la maison. Travail. Maintenant je vais avoir plus de travail parce que ma nouvelle collègue a démissionné. 

Day#152 – 07/12/2014

I woke up at 12:30. Breakfast. Then I went to the Rimi to do shopping. I cooked a “gratin dauphinois” and a very tasty smoothie (full of vitamins) with kiwis, bananas, real orange juice and vanilla soja milk.

Réveil à 12h30. Petit-déjeuner. Puis je suis allée faire les courses au Rimi. J’ai fait un gratin dauphinois et un délicieux smoothie (plein de vitamines) avec des kiwis, des bananes, du vrai jus d’orange et du lait de soja à la vanille. 

Day#151 – 06/12/2014

Today I stayed at home during the day, watching TV and skyping with one of my best friend. Then at 18:30 I met Alina in the old town, we went to Omas Briljants bar (it means brilliant grand-ma, I love the name and the atmosphere) and after we went to the Christmas market on Dome square.

Aujourd’hui je suis restée à la maison toute la journée, à regarder la télé et skyper avec une de mes meilleures amies. Puis à 18h30, j’ai retrouvé Alina dans le vieux Riga, on est allé au bar Omas Briljants (ça veut dire le bar de la mamie brillante, j’adore le nom et l’ambiance !), et après on a été faire un tour au marché de Noël sur la place de la cathédrale du Dome.

Day#150 – 05/12/2014

Work. Lunch at home. Work. Dinner at home. Then I went to Florian and Dany flat to their “goodbye” party because they are leaving on Sunday.

Travail. Déjeuner à la maison. Travail. Diner à la maison. Puis je suis allée chez Florian et Dany pour leur soirée de départ parce qu’ils rentrent en Allemagne dimanche. 

Day#149 – 04/12/2014

Work. Lunch at home. Work. Go back home. Then Florian and Dany came to our flat, and we cooked together (with Majka and her friend) our diner.

Travail. Déjeuner à la maison. Travail. Retour à la maison. Puis Florian et Dany sont venus dans notre appart, et on a cuisiné ensemble notre dîner (avec Majka et son amie). 

Day#148 – 03/12/2014

Today work at home because this morning I didn’t feel good (but now I’m fine!).

Travail à la maison aujourd’hui car je me sentais pas très bien ce matin (maintenant ça va mieux!). 

Day#147 – 02/12/2014

Work. Lunch at home. Work. Go back home. Today it was really cold, -7 degrees, but the feeling temperature was -14 degrees!!!!

Travail. Déjeuner à la maison. Travail. Retour à la maison. Aujourd’hui il fait vraiment froid, -7 degrés, mais la température ressentie est de -14 !!!!

Day#146 – 01/12/2014

Work. Lunch at home. Work. Go back home and then we went to the restaurant with Majka, Oryn, Florian, Dany and other friends (because it was the birthday of one Majka’s friend).

Travail. Déjeuner à la maison. Travail. Retour à la maison et ensuite on est allés au restaurant avec Majka, Oryn, Florian, Dany et d’autres (parce que c’était l’anniversaire d’une des amies de Majka).
