Day #129 until Day#133 – 14/11/2014 until 18/11/2014

14/11 : departure from Riga at 2 :00 in the morning by bus to go to
Tallinn. Arrival in Tallinn. Ferry from Tallinn to Helsinki. Time for walking
in Helsinki, then night on the ferry to go to St Petersburg.
Départ
de Riga à 2h du matin en bus direction Tallinn. Arrivée à Tallinn. Ferry direction Helsinki. Ballade
dans Helsinki, puis nuit sur le Ferry pour St Petersbourg.
- 15/11 : arrival in St Petersburg at 9:30, then guided city tour with
bus, and stops to take pictures, it’s a really beautiful city ! For the lunch,
we ate blinis of course. Then we went to our hotel, an IBIS.
Arrivée
à St Petersbourg à 9h30, visite guidée de la ville en bus, avec des arrêts pour
prendre des photos, c’est vraiment une très belle ville ! Elle mérite son
surnom de « Venise du Nord ». Pour le déjeuner on a mangé des blinis
bien sûr. Puis on est allé à notre hôtel, un IBIS.
- 16/11 : Guided and free visit of Hermitage (Winter Palace), amazing and
beautiful ! They have a great Rembrandt collection ! Then we walked to Nevsky
Prospect, the main avenue, stopped in a really nice coffee (Bibliotheka) for
lunch (as we took a big breakfast, we just ate a cake). Walked until our hotel,
so a long walk but it was nice. For our dinner, we went to a restaurant called
“Luck” in Russia, it was really nice (I ate a stroganoff very tasty). After we
took the metro, the deepest one in the world, and so big and beautiful.
Visite
guidée, puis libre, de l’Ermitage (Palais d’Hiver), magnifique ! Ils ont
une très belle collection de Rembrandt ! Ensuite on a marché sur la Nevsky
Prospect, la grande avenue principale, on s’est arrêtées dans un café très
sympa (Bibliotheka) pour déjeuner (seulement un gâteau et un thé car on avait
pris un bon petit déjeuner à l’hôtel). Marche de nouveau jusqu’à notre hôtel,
une longue promenade donc mais c’était cool. Pour notre diner on est allé dans
un restaurant qui s’appelle « Chance » en russe, c’était super (j’ai
mangé un stroganoff délicieux). Après on a pris le métro, le plus profond au
monde, très grand et superbe.

17/11 : our last day in St Petersburg, we went to Catherine’s palace, it
was a beautiful blue and gold castle, but inside not so many furniture… The
park was really nice. Then back to our hotel, and departure to the harbor.

Dernier
jour à St Petersbourg, on a eu une visite guidée du Palais de Catherine, un
très beau château tout bleu et doré, mais j’ai trouvé qu’à l’intérieur ça
manquait de meubles… Le parc était maginfique. Ensuite retour à l’hôtel, départ
pour le port. Nuit sur le ferry.

18/11 : Arrival in Helsinki at 8:00, breakfast in Helsinki, shopping in
Gina Tricot for Nathalie and Majka, then we took the ferry to Tallinn. Arrival
in Tallinn at 14:00, just an hour in the old town, Tallinn is nice on this
hill, colourful, clean, perfect, but it’s not lively as Riga (only tourists in
the city!). Then at 16:00, bus to Riga. Arrival in Riga at 21h00, just on time
for the firework for the independence day of Latvia !

à Helsinki à 8h, petit déjeuner à Helsinki, shopping chez Gina Tricot pour
Nathalie et Majka, puis on a pris le ferry pour Tallinn. Arrivée à Taillinn à
14h, une petite heure pour visiter la vieille ville perchée sur une petite
colline. C’est très mignon, tout est coloré, très propre, tout est parfait,
mais ce n’est pas vivant du tout comparé à Riga (seuls quelques touristes se
promènent dans la ville !). Puis à 16h, départ en Bus pour Riga. Arrivée à
Riga à 21h, juste à temps pour apercevoir de loin le feu d’artifice pour le
jour d’indépendance de la Lettonie !
