Day #114 - 30/10/2014
We met Eva and we went to the Art Nouveau quarter and we visited two
flats (museums) in the same building : the first one was the flat of two
famous Latvian men : a painter Janis Rozentals and a writer Rudolf Blaumanis.
Then we went to another flat: the Art Nouveau museum, it’s a flat with all the furniture
and decoration in this style. We took a tea or coffee in Sienna, a very nice
place in the art nouveau style, amazing ! Lunch at Vinjia Studio. We went after
to the old town to visit the occupation museum. Went back to the hotel, and for
the dinner we went to Garage restaurant (in Bergs Bazaar) where we met Liene
and Andis (and Tomy!), it was a very nice place and very tasty !
On a rejoint Eva et on est allés dans le quartier Art Nouveau, on a
visité deux appartements (musées) dans le même immeuble :
le premier était l’appartement de deux lettons connus : un peintre Janis
Rozentals et un écrivain Rudolf Blaumanis. Puis après on est allés dans un
autre appartement : le musée Art Nouveau, c’est un appartement avec le
mobilier et la décoration de l’époque. On a pris un café ou un thé au café
Sienna, un endroit très sympa et chaleureux dans le style art nouveau,
incroyable ! Déjeuner à Vinjia Studio. Après on est allés dans le vieux
Riga pour visiter le musée de l’occupation. Retour à l’hôtel, et pour le dîner
on est allés au restaurant Garage (Bergs Bazaar) où on a retrouvé Liene et
Andis (et Tomy !), c’était très sympa et très bon !
