Day #95 – 11/10/2014
Woke up at around 11 :30. Homemade brunch. Then I have cleaned all
the flat. And I get ready to meet people participating to the Riga quest (a
treasure hunt in Riga organized by Majka for her project marketing). I was in
team number 1 with one girl from Latvia and two girls from Germany. And we won
!!!! It was amazing ! We really had fun ! We went to the national library (a
new modern building, from outside it’s not very nice, but the inside is great
!). Then to Ala bar, then to the Black Magic House (where Black Balzam was
invented), then to the Art Nouveau quarter, to KKC (a very nice café/bar) and
finally to Gertruda church. We went upstairs in this church to have a great
view of Riga, and we have seen all the wood roof of the church, it was
impressive. We have received our price (each team had the same price even the
last one, so it was great). Then with Majka we bought noodles to take away, ate
at home, and the went out at 22:00 in Ala Bar. Linda, Larissa (the two German
girls of my team) and Jacob (a Danish friend of these two girls) met us, also a
friend of Majka from Kazakhstan, Oryn. In this bar, I love their cranberry beer
! Then we went to Kalku Vartis, the night club and we danced until almost 3:30.
Went to bed at 4:00. It was a so so great evening !
Réveil autour 11h30. Brunch maison.
Ensuite j’ai fait le ménage dans tout l’appart. Et je me suis préparée pour
participer au Riga quest (une chasse au trésor dans RIga organisée par ma
colloc Majka pour un projet en marketing). J’étais dans l’équipe 1 avec une
fille de Lettonie, et deux autres d’Allemagne. Et on a gagné !!!! C’était
vraiment génial ! On s’est vraiment amusées ! On est allées à la
grande bibliothèque nationale (un nouveau bâtiment moderne, de l’extérieur, c’est
pas très beau, mais l’intérieur est très réussi !). Puis au bar Ala, à la
Black Magic House (où la liqueur de Riga Black Balzam a été inventée), puis
dans le quartier Art Nouveau, KKC (un café/bar très sympa) et enfin à l’église
Gertruda. On est allées en haut de cette église, on avait une superbe vue sur
les toits de Riga, et on a vu tout l’intérieur du toit en bois de l’église avec
la cloche, c’était très impressionnant. On a reçu notre prix (chaque équipe a
reçu le même prix même les derniers, donc c’était cool). Puis avec Majka, on s’est
achetées des noodles à emporter qu’on a mangé à la maison. Puis on est sorties
vers 22h au bar Ala. Linda, Larissa (les deux allemandes de mon équipe) et
Jacob (un ami danois de Linda et Larissa) nous ont rejoint, une amie de Majka
du Kazakhstan, Oryn, nous a aussi rejoint. J’adore leur Cranberry beer dans ce
bar ! On est ensuite allés danser au Kalku Vartis jusqu’à presque 3h30 du
matin. Je me suis couchée à 4h. C’était une soirée tellement géniale !
